I am a 17 years old Cameroonian girl and if not because of the age limit /range I would really love to participate in the YALI initiative. My first project was on rape and during this project I was able to do a sensitization of 2000 school pupils in my locality that is in the north west region (Bamenda ) in which I received an award with a diploma of excellence from the nanas awards sponsored by rayons de soliel in close collaboration with the US embassy in Cameroon. My reason for wanting to participate in the YALI initiative is because I know that with it I will be able to realise more of such projects on violence, education, women’s empowerment ,gender equality and more for the betterment of my community. This far fetched desire of mine can only achieved by your help to be a role model and an inspiration to youths my age.Thanks.
