The fellowship will provide journalists with the latest information on pressing global development issues, giving them the ability to hear directly from top UN, government, and business leaders, and unparalleled access to experts and activists on climate, development, and global health.
This 4-day fellowship, held September 17-20, will have a special focus on global health and development, climate change, and refugees. It will also include access to the 2016 Social Good Summit, during which fellows will have the opportunity to interact with influential leaders and experts dedicated to development-related causes.
With support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the fellowship is designed to foster participants’ understanding and facilitate reporting of the issues surrounding international development, climate change and global health. Fellows will participate in on- and off-the-record issue briefings, roundtables, and conversations with experts and high-level officials.
This fellowship is intended for reporters who do not have regular access to key UN experts, but are interested in global issues, climate change, international development, and the United Nations. Special consideration will be given to journalists whose portfolios include health, climate change or foreign affairs.
Application deadline: August 19th, 2016.
