Youth Leadership for Peace and Inter-Faith Harmony Camp | Diplomacy Opportunities

As part of their project supported by UNAOC’s Youth Solidarity Fund 2017, Aware Girls is seeking young activists in Pakistan who want to strengthen their peace leadership skills, and engage in a year-long process to promote interfaith harmony and implement United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250 on “Youth, Peace and Security”

Aware Girls is a youth-led Organisation working towards peacebuilding. Aware Girls is announcing Call for Applications for 3 days training on the theme of “Youth Leadership for Peace and Interfaith Harmony” with the aim of increasing youth participation in peacebuilding processes. The training will be an opportunity for young peace activists of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province to strengthen their peace leadership skills, and to engage in a year-long process of reaching out to young people in the communities and policy makers for promoting inter-faith harmony and for implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250 on “Youth, Peace and Security”.

3 days Youth Leadership Peace and Interfaith Harmony will be organised by Aware Girls in Nathyagali from 1st-3rd August.

You are eligible to participate if:

  • You are a young person below the age of 25
  • You live in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province or FATA
  • You have volunteer experience in peacebuilding and conflict resolution work
  • You are committed to countering violent extremism and radicalization in your country
  • You will remain committed at least 1 year to the program “Youth Leadership for Peace and Inter-Faith Harmony” and will engage in volunteer activities for promoting inter-faith harmony, countering violent extremism and implementation of UNSC 2250 “Youth, Peace, and Security”.

Applications having one-liner answers to the questions won’t be considered. Please fill the application form only if you are serious in applying for the training, and not if you only want to spend time in Nathyagali. We understand Nathyagali is a cool place and you may like to spend time over there, but please apply only if extremism is an issue close to your heart.
