United Nations Association of Nigeria (UNAN), Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA) and United Nations Information Centre (UNIC), Lagos invites you to the 2018 International Peace Day symposium.

The International Day of Peace (“Peace Day”) was established in 1981 by unanimous United Nations resolution. The day provides a globally shared date for all humanity to commit to peace above all differences, contribute to building a Culture of Peace and is observed around the world each year on 21 September.

The theme for 2018 Peace Day is:  “The Right to Peace – The Universal Declaration of Human Rights at 70”

This year, they will be having a one-on-one session with seasoned experts in international relations, diplomacy, peacebuilding & conflict resolution, media, academics, and youth advocacy come to share ideas with participants and also an opportunity to network with local and international organisations working in media, peacebuilding and youth advocacy
